Whole Body Vibration Testing

Whole Body Vibration (WBV) is transmitted through the seat or feet of employees who drive mobile machines, or other work vehicles, over rough and uneven surfaces as a main part of their job. Large shocks and jolts may cause health risks including back-pain.

Who can suffer from Whole Body Vibration? Drivers of some mobile machines, including tractors, fork lift trucks and quarrying or earth-moving machinery, may be exposed to WBV and shocks, which are associated with back pain.

HAV Control Limited offers nationwide Whole Body Vibration (WBV) testing service for all industries including construction, agriculture, mining, quarrying,  ground maintenance, ports, authorities, local councils...

Testing equipment and plant vehicles under real time working conditions as operatives use them can help identify high risk processes.

Using state of the art wireless equipment, raw data can be captured over whole shift patterns if required. A professional report is produced (in printed and electronic format). Measurement data is presented in easy to read report format which allows employers to establish if Exposure Action Values (EAV) and Exposure Limit Values (ELV) are likely to be exceeded.

Vibration Measurements are carried out in accordance with the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005 (L141).
